Fridge breaking twice in 4 years
I purchase Fridge in 2-2020. Two years in Duct Beak stuck, temp dropped, I was unaware as food still felt cold.
I consumed food. Spent next 24 hours in bathroom and on couch. (use your imagination) All food had to be thrown out and service call was over $200.00. I then purchase a thermometer.
Over this Oct. 6th, 2024 weekend my thermometer jumps to 42 degrees, DANGER ZONE. Again, all food is contaminated due to service call unable to respond till Tuesday. This time it's the Evaporating Fan Motor.
$248.95. Customer service merely echoed the company line and said they would not reimburse me. They would not provide a Supervisor to speak with...then the only info they would provide is the corporate address which is already online. Lousy product.
No pride in what they make.
Terrible customer service...to be clear, I'm aware this is not the Customer Service Agents 'fault', this is what she has been instructed to do. I would use a block of ice before purchasing another Whirlpool (and their numerous lines) product.

Very disappointed in my year and a half old clothes washer. Needs a new control board which is $330. Price of the entire unit is about $500.
I purposely purchased in Amana washer and dryer because my last ones lasted 26 years with minimal issues. My new washer is less than a year and a half old.
Pump cycle starts all by itself. needs a new control board. $330! Price of entire washer is around $500.
What is going on? I feel like Im getting completely ripped off and would never ever buy another Amana product!

Lots of problems with my furnace and a/c
Had the furnace and central air put in only 2 yrs ago, and i've had service calls for either no heat, or no a/c each and every season since i've had it. To me its still a brand new unit, and to IMMEDIATELY have problems is unacceptable.
It replaced a unit that was almost 30 yrs old, that finally failed. And I have a new unit, and immediate issues.

Machine doe ant take out all the water
Tried to service but your custom dont understand it toookme 25minto get to person,couldnt understand you have poor service I learn my lesson not to to take ext plan.

Service bought warranty part with new software which is not energy efficient. Was told by serviceman that these machines weren't built to last more than 5 years..unreal...mine will be a year old end of month.
And Amana won't do anything about software..!
Serviceman tried! Will never buy another Amana product!

Verified Buyer |Talk about rare washer isdue
The front suspension bar broke. The store service person said they have never seen that before.
The break caused a cascade of events. The store service team has not be able to fix. There is one last option. Replace the electrical harness.
I thought because this was an unheard event. I would get done concession for parts and labor and if the harness does not fix the washer.
I would like to have you replace the washer. It is less than 2 years old.

My local technician could not get the help they needed. They were passed to multiple technical support representatives to no avail.
Amana even maintains a software update that has corrupted data according to them. The new board from the factory was 'blank', discovered after exhaustive attempts to make it work. You have to ask for a case number instead of the technical support representative immediately assigning you one. Never did the support representative recommend a site visit, yet they ended multiple calls without a resolution.
The phone tree for Amana never mentions Amana but says thank you for calling Daikin tech support and then later says thank you for calling Goodman support. There are at least 3 companies that have combined.
They don't have their systems merged and functioning yet. Avoid purchasing Amana.

Purchased a washing machine and in less than 30 days from purchase it completely stopped working. There has a huge BOOM, it sounded like the thing exploded and now it is super loud and sounds like plastic parts are bouncing around inside the machine.
Called Amana and after 5 different numbers finally reached a person. They were not helpful at all! They said they would repair the machine. I said it has been less than 30 days and I want it removed and a refund.
They said if I had purchased through them directly they would do that but since I purchased from Lowe's they would only repair it.
I asked to speak with a supervisor and was told they would call me in 24 hours, meanwhile my laundry is piling up. Terrible machine, terrible customer service, terrible company.

The washer tub makes a good burn barrow since that is all their junk is worth
the appliances Amana are JUNK and I will never buy one again. the "new washing machine" that only worked through 27 loads in 16 months has been dismantled and the metal is on the metal recycling pile and the plastics have been burned. I now have my General Electric washer in it's place that I bought new in 1986 and it's working GREAT.
I purchased an Amana washing machine, model # NTW4516FW3, serial # CA 302****. It had a 1-year warranty.
I washed 27 loads of clothes in the 16 months I had it and the electronics went out of it. A piece of junk.
It cost me $22.00 a load for the 27 loads I got out of it, as I paid $600.00 for it. It appears they put timer chips in the electronics that cause them to fail a few months after the warrentee expires as it's always the electronics that fail.

Ill customer service
My daughter and son have worked very hard to furnish a home for their mother to live. Amana refrigerator, appliances.
Brand new. Out of the box. I have been living in my home since August 2 2024. Refrigerator has been seen and worked on two times.
It isn't going to work. I am without a counter top and sinks and a refrigerator. My son left for the army as in processing now off to basic. My daughter and the amana tech have been *** on.
And they still want to run all of us around. Tech has been twice. Fridge was condemned. For fracks sake!
It's a brand new machine. Replace it. I've been living out if my daughters mini fridge here in south carolina. It's supposed to be 92 degrees today.
Where is someone?
So m e one person that knows we need help. I got enough bugs without you making more.

In October 2023, my stove caught fire, destroying one of my cooking utensils and also damaging the top of the range. I contacted the company who sent out a technician.
The technician found that there are bad switches on the stove, which is a defective product issue. So when I called to explain it what the technician that they sent out said. The company refused to replace the item told me that I would have to pay $300 to get a new stove. So when I made the point that what if my house had burnt down because of this or one of my children, myself or my spouse injured or possibly killed, I would be able to pay $300.
The upper management basically told me to take it or leave it.
I say that I will never purchase anything from them again. The civil lawsuit is pending.
User's recommendation: I would just say to never purchase anything from Amana or whirlpool ever again. They do not stand behind their product. And actually believe that the consumer has to bow down to the manufacturer. They live by the standard or right wrong or different. We are right and we will always stand by or wrong.
